Our projects aim to bridge the gap between tourism and local communities, fostering sustainable practices that benefit both visitors and residents alike. We make sure that local communities and children around the national park benefit from the tourism industry both directly and indirectly. we do that by supporting

   1. Skiling initiatives like training the youth on how to make product like liquid soap, vocational training, making paper bags and books which regulate the used polythene bags that pollute the environmet almost used in all safari lodges and hotels around the park.

   2. Talent development like in music dance and drama, game and sports.

   3. Local products like honey and food from farmers, craft and traditional clothes from local artisan.

THE TEAM

Murchison Falls Children Foundation was found in 2024 By Kenneth , ''after working as a tour guide around Murchison Fall National Park I realized that as the tourism fraternity we need to work more with the local communities engaging them in our activities by hiring them and buying their products and sell them to the tourists which will help them to develop financially and uplift children because they are tomorrow's generation, and in the communities we have a lot of tourists attractions and activities yet we can showcase them to tourists all around the world. My love for children attracted me and my fellows to start this foundation to Save The Children''. I do not work alone in this project, below is the team of other members that help me on the project.

At Murchison Falls Children Foundation we aim at uplifting children and connecting communities with opportunities through sustainable tourism.

SHORT HISTORY

Murchison Falls Children Foundation is a community based organisation that was born in 2024 after reallizing need for the tourism fraternity should work further more with the local communities back in 2022 for sustainable tourism that will help to improve awareness and improve co-cordination hence boosting conservation in Uganda national Parks.

Local communities play a big role in the conservation journey, that why in MFCF community we work work with community as first priority in conserve and local communities are one of the tourist attractions in the countries as we volunteer and we are likely to encounter diverse culture of the local people ranging from;
